OAK BARRELS 1 LITER FOR WHISKEY OR SPIRITS

About this barrel

A 1 liter oak barrel is the fastest way to see what wood does to a spirit. This new mini barrel for whiskey or other spirits is listed at $35.00 by an independent eBay seller, and it's small enough for a kitchen shelf.

How fast does a 1 liter oak barrel age whiskey?

Very fast compared with larger casks, because so much wood touches so little liquid. Check the flavor every few days at first, especially on the first fill.

• Capacity: about one 750 ml bottle with room to spare.
• Swell it: soaking it in water before use helps stop leaks.
• Try: white whiskey, rum, tequila or a barrel-aged cocktail.
• Check the listing: the char level, spigot and stand aren't specified.

Because each fill is small, you can try a new spirit every few weeks and learn quickly what you like. Covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
