5L/1.32Gal Aging Barrel Wooden Whiskey Barrel Bourbon Wine Barrel Home

About this barrel

Think of this small oak whiskey barrel as a test kitchen for spirits: 5 liters (1.32 gallons) is enough to experiment with aging time without tying up a big batch. It is new and listed by an independent eBay seller for $34.59.

How long should whiskey stay in a small oak whiskey barrel?

There is no fixed rule. Small barrels work quickly, so begin tasting early and bottle when the oak and vanilla notes suit you rather than following a calendar.

• Prep by filling with water until the wood swells tight.
• Keep a simple log of fill date and tasting notes.
• Refill with a new batch once you bottle, as flavor contribution softens over time.
• Covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
