About this barrel

A small oak whiskey barrel can turn a shelf corner into an aging station. This 5L, 1.32-gallon option is listed new at $33.89 by an independent eBay seller.

Is a small whiskey barrel worth it for beginners?

For many home users, yes. The compact size means a modest amount of spirit, and quicker oak influence than a large cask. That makes it simple to experiment with bourbon, whiskey or wine.
