Vintage Carved Wood Whiskey Double Barrel Decanter Dispenser on Ornate Stand

About this barrel

This vintage carved wood double barrel whiskey decanter is part furniture, part barware. Two small kegs sit side by side on an ornate stand. It's listed used at $100 and is better suited to display than to everyday aging.

Is a vintage double barrel dispenser safe to drink from?

It depends on its history and the inside of the barrels. Older pieces may have dried seals, old finishes or residue inside. Many collectors keep them for display, or only fill them after cleaning and checking for leaks.

• Read the description for the capacity, since the title doesn't give a size.
• Zoom in on the carving and the stand's joints for cracks or repairs.
• Ask whether the spigots work and close properly.
• It fits well on a back bar or in a library or study.
