PADERNO OAK BARREL WITH SPIGOT AND STAND, 1 QT A4982268

About this barrel

The Paderno oak barrel with spigot and stand is a 1 quart size, model A4982268, listed new. A quart is about as small as a usable home cask gets. It works for short spirit-aging tests, a batch of homemade vinegar or as a countertop accent.

What can you do with a 1 quart oak barrel?

Make small batches. The wood works quickly at this size, so a spirit can pick up oak flavor in a short time. Taste it often so it doesn't get too oaky.

• Included: spigot and stand, according to the title.
• Swell it: fill it with water and let the staves tighten before first use.
• Char or toast: not stated, so read the listing or ask the seller.
• Model number: A4982268 helps you match it to the maker's product information.
