ME Modern Expressions Mini Whiskey Barrel 27 Fl Oz NEW IN BOX

About this barrel

This Modern Expressions mini whiskey barrel is still in its box. It holds 27 fl oz and sells new for $27. That's a little more than a standard 750 mL bottle, so it works for showing off a favorite pour or trying small-batch aging.

Is a 27 fl oz mini whiskey barrel good for aging?

Small barrels have a lot of wood contact for their volume, so flavor comes through quickly, sometimes within days. Taste often so the oak doesn't overpower the spirit.

• Before first use: soak or fill it with water to swell the staves.
• Box contents: the title doesn't list a spigot or stand, so check the photos.
• Gift-ready: new in box, which suits birthdays, groomsmen and Father's Day.
• Interior: the char level isn't mentioned, so ask if it matters to you.
