2 Liter Oak Aging Barrel with Wood Stand, Bung & Spigot - Mini Whiskey Barrels f

About this barrel

Bartenders have used small casks for years to mellow stirred drinks, and a 2 liter oak barrel for aging cocktails lets you do the same at home. This new mini whiskey barrel comes with a wood stand, bung and spigot, at $73.90.

Which cocktails work best in a small oak barrel?

Spirit-forward drinks with no juice or dairy, such as Manhattans, Negronis and Boulevardiers. Mix a batch, fill the barrel, then taste often.

• The spigot lets you pour single servings straight from the barrel on its stand.
• Swell the barrel with water before the first batch.
• After a cocktail batch, the wood carries flavor into the next fill, so plan the order of what you age.
• Check the listing for the char level and interior finish.
